So why do I get excited when clients ask if they can bring their dog along?

Well, the thing is, that they are part of the family and a family photoshoot just wouldn’t be right without them. We got the whole family together for this shoot to mark a significant birthday. It was a really relaxed morning with lots of laughter and a naughty lab who couldn’t resist the temptation of the lake. The children climbed trees, the adults caught up and the dogs had a good run around. Everything that makes for a wonderful morning with the family.

Just look at this photograph - I swear Bailey (the dog) is smiling at Ollie…

We managed half an hour before Bailey’s excitement got the better of him and he made a run for it. Within seconds there was a splash followed by the squawk of ducks as Bailey launched himself into the lake! Honestly, that dog was so pleased with himself - was it a problem? Of course not, he’s a dog that just loves the water so why wouldn't we want photographs of him doing what he loves? His family will smile when they look back and remember just how happy he was when in the water.

I allow plenty of time for your shoot, this means that I spend time getting to know your children who then become relaxed, which in turn makes you relaxed. When everybody is happy and having fun I can do what I’m best at and capture beautiful photographs of you with the people that make you happy.
